Our Chief Operating Engineer

Fani Mtetwa, MBA (BOND), PrEng

Mr. Mtetwa is a Multi-disciplinary Professional Civil Engineer, experienced in Freight Rail, Logistics, Heavy Equipment Management, Steel, and Facilities Management. Fani spun off his business unit forging a partnership with Pandrol, South Africa (SA) and the Industrial Development Corporation to establish Dynacon Steel a spring steel processing and logistics operation supplying cut-to-size steel to Pandrol, SA from an industrial facility. Five years later, in 2007 he sold out of the steel business to acquire a strategic interest in the WSP Group Africa (Pty) Limited, one of the world’s leading engineering professional services consulting firms, with expertise in land remediation to urban planning, engineering iconic buildings to designing sustainable transport networks, and developing the energy sources of the future to enabling new ways of extracting essential minerals. Fani was appointed to the Board of Directors of the company, a position which he held until 2014. In 2010 he established a coal business with the initial purpose of supplying Eskom’s Grootvlei Power Station in South Africa with Coal, this after securing access to coal and later a Mining Right near the Power Plant. Fani earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Bond University in Austrailia.
